Shelby County is ​developing a new Comprehensive Plan.  New goals, objectives and strategies will be formulated to direct future growth and development and guide public investments in a way that acknowledges the opportunities facing the County today.

The Shelby County Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 6, 2023 and voted unanimously to adopt the new Shelby County Comprehensive Plan.

On April 10, the Shelby County Commission voted unanimously to ratify the new Comprehensive Plan.

The Final Documents are posted below.

A hard copy of the Comprehensive Plan can be reviewed at the Shelby County Department of Development Services desk at the Pelham County Services Building located at 1123 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124.
